Act for a more sustainable IT.
We help IT companies, IT and CSR departments to develop their strategy, make informed decisions and promote their actions and investments in terms of CSR and ESG specific to digital, cloud computing and data science solutions.
The genesis of AdVaes
We exist to help organisations take action towards more responsible and sustainable IT. Our mission is to support directors, their managers and their employees in the trends of the cloud and data science, as well as in the CSR/ESG issues specific to digital technology, along 4 operational lines depending on their state of maturity and progress: enlightenment and awareness, evaluation and roadmap, valorisation of actions, anticipation and strategic intelligence.
AdVaes was founded in July 2020 by Emmanuelle Olivié-Paul, previously Associate Director of Markess, a market analysis firm specialising in the digital industry, and a member of the CoDir of exaegis, a company specialising in the development, adoption and financing of the digital sector. A former top-level athlete, Emmanuelle has over 30 years' experience in the digital sector as well as in industry (Schlumberger, CNES, Landis+Gyr).
For several years she has been following issues of environmental sustainability, fairness, ethics and trust in digital uses, and more specifically the strategies, practices and actions of service providers in the sector in terms of CSR and ESG criteria.
We cover the 3 pillars of ESG
The intersection of ESG with IT and digital dimensions is what makes us unique in the market.
Environment
Energy and water (cf. data centres), greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, waste treatment and recycling, increasing scarcity of raw materials, use of plastics, impact of data storage and exchange, circular economy, low-carbon energies, technologies to combat the climate crisis.
Equity & Inclusion
Gender equality, diversity and inclusion (disability, reintegration, training), non-discrimination, diversity of genders and origins, fairness in recruitment, treatment, remuneration, career development and responsibilities, internal awareness-raising campaigns on the issues at stake and the associated risks.
Ethics & Trust
Software and service production processes, neutrality and explainability of how algorithms work, human resources management practices, commercial practices (payment times, customer retention and satisfaction), data protection, actions in the event of breakdowns and incidents (RTO/RPO), regulatory compliance.

Sponsorship
AdVaes is supporting athlete Maxime Pauty, gold medallist in men's team foil at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and bronze medallist at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Fencing is a sport that doesn't get much media coverage, and digital has enabled Maxime to broaden his horizons and pass on the values he holds dear.
In a video interview with AdVaes, Maxime talks about three of them:
1 - Commitment;
2 - Respect;
3 - Ethics.
He also talks about being aware of the impact of digital technology and trying to make good use of it in his practice.
A big thank you to Maxime for his testimonial and his commitment!
Our support
Let's Catch Carbon is working to respond to the climate emergency by promoting agricultural transformation through agroforestry in rural coffee-growing regions of the subtropical belt. It works in close collaboration with local populations, in particular women, where they have access to basic services, can undertake, emancipate and ensure their well-being, that of their family and their community, while preserving the planet.
➜ Why? The association supports projects that make sense for AdVaes: agroforestry, support for women and their families, education, health... and because we also love coffee and forests (it has to be said). The association's 1st objective: to transform 100,000 hectares of coffee plantations into agroforestry to capture 1,500,000 tonnes of carbon in 5 years.
➜ How? AdVaes has undertaken to pay the association 50 euros per company sponsoring the 2024 edition of the "Barometer of Eco-responsible Digital Providers", i.e. approximately 5% of the amount of each sponsorship.
➜ When? Donations will be allocated to the association's 2025 actions.
